This silicone head strap is 100% worth it to buy with a GATA mask. I find behind-the-ear masks to be quite uncomfortable generally speaking and that GATA mask needs to be quite tight to form a proper seal. I am very glad the silicone head strap was available to purchase. The head strap ensures I don't have to use behind-the-ear straps.

To use the head strap, you hook the ear loops around the hooks on the head strap and adjust the ear loop adjusters until the mask fits tight enough around your full head. I could see how someone with reduced hand dexterity might need assistance with setting up the mask and head strap the first time.

Getting the mask on with the headstrap is not too difficult. You can either pull it over your head with the ear loops already attached to the head strap on both sides or only have one ear loop attached, then hook the second ear loop once you have the mask positioned over your face. This also might be difficult for someone with reduced hand dexterity.

I've been mask-on for up to 12 hours; this mask/headstrap combination is the most comfortable thing ever.

We've been using GATA products for 3+ years. Superb workmanship. Being immunosuppressed, I feel more than adequately protected! WTG, GATA!

These are a MUST my ears would be tender after a full day of wearing but the headstrap makes it so much more comfortable, and a very secure fit!
